Wow...this book is awesome. I fell in love with David in Lick but oh this book...the story of Mal is fantastic!!!
Mal Ericson is seriously a make you smile rocker.  He is full of energy and the life of the party, yet you see a darker side, a sadness within him. He goes from one emotion to another quicker than flipping a switch.
Anne Rollins is a hard working, average girl. She has been taken advantage most of her life and still her heart is bigger than most. When it comes to love she has only had one boyfriend at he was at the age of sixteen. Now, twenty-three she finds herself just crushing on her boss for the last two years. A boss that always keeps her as a back-up.
Yet, fate steps in. Anne finds herself in her apartment that is left empty. Her roommate has taken off leaving her nothing but a debt. So instead of moping and feeling sorry for herself she agrees to go to a party with her neighbors.  A party that will change her life forever.
This story honestly is so entertaining.  I found myself laughing out loud at the banter between Mal and Anne. Yet, my heart broke for both of them. Anne is so caring and vulnerable that she brings tears to your eyes. She tries to stay strong, tries to tell herself that her heart will be fine but Mal Ericson is her dream come true. The one that brings the beat back into her heart.
Mal...oh Mal he honestly is awesome.  He is hot of course but his personality is fantastic.  He is so out spoken that you can't help but smile throughout the entire story. Yet, he is dealing with such sadness that he needs a light and he finds that in Anne.
The two of the make a deal to help one another out. Yet, will they be able to deal with all of the drama? Will they be left broken?
I started this book and could NOT put it down. With each paged turned I found myself needing more. A few hours later I had a permanent smile. This book is fantastic and I can not say enough about it.
