She snickers at me, “You’ve always been a domineering prick, haven’t you? I used to think you were protecting Katie Grace, helping her cope and deal. You unilaterally brought her back from Lila’s death and she’s been under your thumb ever since. She’s right where you wanted her, right where you like her, enraptured by you and your love. But now that the tables are turned, she’s not allowed to fix you, to help you heal. Maybe you’re right, Michael, maybe we’ll both be better off without you. Just mark my words, I’m going to make it my mission to find her a man that will treat her as an equal and not make decisions for her. Who knows? Maybe it just might even be Marc.”
She looks at me smugly, knowing that he’s my weakness, but I won’t let her know she got to me. She has to believe this is the end. If she believes it, she can convince Katherine of it, too.
I nod my head at her, getting ready to lie to her for the very first time in my life. “You’re right, Jessica, I’m a domineering prick. Just ask Riley, she’s all too used to my domineering ways. I had to have someone to fuck on the side who could take it rough. Katie Grace needed to be made love to gently, slowly, and passionately, but Riley let me fuck her like a real man. Now I don’t have to juggle them and the relief from that is liberating. If Marc wants her, he can have her, but from what I’ve heard about him, she’s a little too timid for his tastes. You never know, though, maybe he’ll change for her or figure out how to bring out her inner freak, God knows I never coul…”
Before I finish my sentence, she slaps me across the face. I absolutely deserve it, but the look on her face says it all—I have effectively closed the door with her.

OUR REVIEW
Let's start this journey with me stating I'm team Daniel all the way!! Even after this amazing installment of this series.
That said let's talk about Mike, Michael, or whatever name you want to call him, I prefer jacka$$ mainly because of book one. Lol... We gain a new perspective in Catching Kate, we hear from Mike, and what made him the man whore and royal douche to women that he has become. Seeing the breakup and piecing back together of his life opened my eyes to things I missed in Breaking Kate.
Mike goes through women like he goes through underwear just to bury the pain since Katherine, and even though he jumped the gun and made the worst decision in his life at a time when he should have taken a minute to regroup, he knows he isn't or wasn't the man that Katherine, Kate needed then or may want now. He has to fix his life and what better way then by reaching out to Kate and pouring his heart out in a letter.
This brings us to the engagement party and the meeting heard round the world, the worked shock doesn't seem to even begin to describe what happened when, mike, Kate, Daniel and Jess all come face to face.
It's very hard to go into a book like I did with a mindset of this is who and what I believe and to come out with me questioning my choice of sides I've chosen. I'm still very much team Daniel but Mike has earned a spot for sure.
I loved this series since the beginning when I stumbled upon it, I loved this book as a 1.5 and can't wait for the next one to see where do they all go from here.

if i could give this more that 5 stars i would... i honestly loved it!!
Ok so I now have to find a way to draw you all into this book without giving things away!! Ugh how about I just say this.. It's in my top 20!!
Ok let's start with the writing style that Dee Kelly has, it's awesome and it draws you into this story from the very beginning. You learn the story from all parties involved and never once did it feel overwhelming like it sometimes can when you have multiple POVs given, not this time I felt connected to all the characters even if they were supporting!
Ok so here's my thoughts without giving any spoilers away...
Katherine had her life mapped out from the ripe old age of about 6 when she knows she is going to marry her best friend Michael, he's her everything, her first everything too, first love, first boyfriend, first lover. She knew in her bones they would be together forever. But forever didn't really have it in her cards for Katherine and Michael, in one instant one night her world came crashing down.
Fast forward a few years and Kate is now going to graduate college soon with a double major and has no heart left for a relationship that was taken from her when Michael left her.. Until her BFF Jess takes her to a friends party, she comes face to face with her other half. You can literally feel the pull from the pages that they feel for each other. Daniel is like no one she's ever met before, he's handsome and loving, caring and compassionate, sexy and alpha all in one hot package! They are both coming out of their post break up depression and spark something in one another that no one else has for them. 2 weeks is all it took to fall in love, promises of forever are made but can the past remain the past forever or will it come face to face with the present and all that Daniel and Kate want out of life.
Mike has stumbled through women and beds trying to forget the girl he threw away. One night he got a whiff of her and all the memories he saves for the times he's alone or before he goes to bed rear their ugly head and force him to rethink his life choices. He's got his friends, his brothers , to rely on to get his girl back.. Will she take him back will she forgive the love he threw away?
I can't say this enough read it you will love it!!
